Langrenus Crater, 80 miles in diameter. This was cropped from an f/9 original, and doubled in resolution to the current size. Notice the crater trains at the bottom.
Shot at f/5 with the full 1280 x 960 resolution. Processed with virtual dub to convert to greyscale. It took about a half-hour to process in registax. That dark patch at the left is Grimaldi. A “very dark circular formation resembling a sea.” (from Virtual Moon Atlas)
